RESUMPTION DATE FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS – 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

This is to inform all prospective 100 Level students at North-Eastern University, Gombe (formerly Pen Resource University, Gombe) that the resumption date for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic session has been rescheduled from Monday, 12th August 2024, to Monday, 23rd September 2024.  This is due to uncertainties associated with the ongoing national protest scheduled to be held from Thursday, 1st August – Saturday, 10th August 2024.

While the University Senate regrets the inconveniences that this change might cause, it has, however, taken this decision to prioritize the safety and well-being of our prospective students given the potential travel risks. We urge everyone to remain vigilant, follow security protocols, and stay informed through official channels. The University will continue to monitor the situation in consultation with security agencies.

Prospective Direct Entry students and those transferring into 200 Level are expected to resume with returning students on Monday, 2nd September 2024, following the receipt of their JAMB admission letters.

Whilst we look forward to welcoming you on our campus, please accept the Vice-Chancellor’s best regards.

Thank you.
