1. Complete Application Form
The student can submit an application through either the admissions portal or a paper format to the admissions office North-Eastern University, Gombe, including the necessary documents. Alternatively, they can send the application directly to the Admissions Office. Upon receiving the application, the Admissions Office will inform the applicant of its receipt via email, SMS, and phone call.
2. Confirmation of Application
After you’ve submitted your application, the Admissions department will confirm the receipt of your application within 24 hours through a phone call, email, or on your application dashboard.
3. Application Review
The admissions committee will assess your application to ensure it aligns with our criteria. If your application meets our requirements, you will be requested to pay a commitment fee of N30,000, which will facilitate the preparation of your admission letter.
4. Physical Verification
Typically, physical verifications occur when you visit the North-Eastern University, Gombe city campus in person. The aim of this process is to enhance our understanding of you, validate the documents you submitted during your application, discuss your future aspirations, explore your specific interest in the course, learn about your preferred academic topics, and assess your comprehension of the internship program.
5. Payment of Fees
You will be enabled to make your tuition fee and other charges payment before you begin with your course registration and begin to get enrol in all our portals.
Requirements for Admission
UTME Applicants Requirements:
- Completed NEU application form.
- JAMB UTME scores or A-Level.
- End of school leaving exam scores (IGCSE, WASSCE, NECO, GCE ‘O’ Level, Cambridge ‘O’ Level).
- SS1, SS2 and SS3 High School transcripts.
- One or more recommendation letters or Testimonial from the counselor or principal of the secondary school attended.
- Photocopy of international passport, national identity card, or secondary school ID.
- A personal statement (Essay) stating why the applicant chose NEU and what his/her ambitions are.
Direct Entry/Transfer Applicants Requirements:
- Completed NEU application form.
- Direct Entry qualification(s) IJMB, NCE, Diploma, JUPEB, First Degree, GCE ‘A’ Level or any equivalent.
- End of Secondary school leaving exam scores (IGCSE, WASSCE, NECO, GCE ‘O’ Level, Cambridge ‘O’ Level etc).
- Post-secondary transcripts/Certificate.
- One or more recommendation letters from post-secondary academic work.
- Photocopy of international passport, national identity card, driver’s license or secondary school ID.
- A personal statement (Essay) stating why the applicant chose NEU and what his/her ambitions are.

Please be aware that specific individuals are falsely representing themselves as admission agents, affiliates or representatives of North-Eastern University, Gombe. Under this false pretense, they may demand payment for Application/Admission fee and subsequently registration fees. These claims are fraudulent and invalid and you are strongly advised to exercise great caution when you are seeking admission into North-Eastern University University, Gombe. - North-Eastern University application is free and enrolment officer will never demand for payment of application/admission fee
