At North-Eastern University, Gombe, we take pride in our dedicated Centre for African Medicinal Plants Research (CAMPRE), boasting state-of-the-art facilities including the Natural Products and Formulations Laboratory, and the Synthesis Laboratory. Our centre provides a spacious and secure environment for researchers to delve into Drug Discovery research, focusing on the development of plant-derived products tailored for addressing disease burdens in Africa.

While our laboratory is primarily intended for experienced Chemists, we offer supervised access to equipment for those in need, ensuring inclusivity and collaboration. Within our facility, researchers have access to an array of advanced equipment, including a 45 MHz NMR, 3 UV-VIS Spectrophotometers, 3 HPLCs, LC/MS (Thermo Finnigan LCQ Deca XP plus LC/MS), Waters Q-Tof Premier Mass Spectrometer, Rotary Evaporator, and various sizes of columns for column chromatography.

Through these resources, we aim to position our university at the forefront of research capabilities within the Nigerian University system, fostering innovation and impactful discoveries in the field of medicinal plant research.

We enthusiastically welcome research students to our facilities.
